IMPORTANT MESSAGE: We are fully booked and are not taking on new students for the remainder of the 2024 season.
At Pletch Equestrian our main focus is the discipline of Eventing. This sport combines the three phases of dressage, show jumping, and cross country into one event (horse show).
Our lesson program is filled with kids and adults just beginning their riding experience, adult amateurs who love to come and enjoy the sport, and local and nationally competitive riders. I love teaching every level and introducing this sport to anyone who loves a challenge and the reward of hard work.
The lesson format begins with dressage work which sets the foundation for all riding disciplines. Safety is the highest priority at the facility. Confidence of the rider and horse are built through positive experiences. Rider and horse fitness, a proper and strong rider position, along with confidence and understanding through knowledge are all things that I instill in my students.
Lesson horses are provided for those who don’t own a horse, or you can trailer in your own horse if you board elsewhere. Pletch Equine has a large jump field for cross country question work, show jump course and grid work, and conditioning in the summer. Students learn all of this in this lesson program. The well maintained indoor arena provides an approximately 20′ x 40′ dressage arena for test work and inclement weather riding. A 20′ x 60′ grass ring is available outdoors to provide dressage riders a place to school tests that require the large ring.
